Point of View

X-Factor, What is going On?

I am shocked to say the least, at this series of X-factor. First of all, that girl – Cece – from hope was disqualified from the show for “criminal activities”. Then we have Emily Nakanda, who was quite a crowd favorite, apparently she is a gang member with the tag name “Lady Shiverz”.

Emily was also caught on tape threatening to cut out some boys eyes and on a camera phone happy slapping a girl known as Anna. (Happy slapping is when you viciously attack someone who wasn’t expecting it and get a friend to film the attack).

All this scandals at X-factor leaves me wondering if the show even does any screening or background check on contestant, or does the show enjoy this sort of publicity. After all, someone once said any publicity is good publicity.

Well, I am quite happy that Emily has been kicked off the show, since having been found guilty of all said crimes. Since I firmly believe that bullying of aby sort should not be tolerated.

Is your Dog making "Sad eyes" at you?

Your having your dinner, when you notice your dog is giving you "that look,", the one you just can’t resist. Do you usually end up sharing your meal with your dog, well if you wish to stop this habit, try the following:

Instructions:
1. Don’t try to ignore your dog hoping he’ll stop because they never do, instead take the dog out of the room, into another room and leave him/her entertained with a toy.
2. The best option (what usually works) is that when you sit down to eat your meal, you might just want to put your dog’s own meal as well. So you van both eat at the same time.

Overall, Whichever option you choose, make certain that you:
1. Are firm with your dog. The more you give in, the more your dog expects.
2. Always feed your dog at set times.

Friday Fiction

Keeping Faith (part 2)!

“What th....”
“I swear I paid the last electric bill,” Kimberly thought as she switched the light off and on. This isn’t good, if Mrs. Cobbler finds out the bill hasn’t been paid I gonna be in a lot of trouble! “Why wasn’t there any letter, maybe...damn it must be in those pile of letters on the kitchen table!” she moaned to herself quietly.

By this time Kimberly was outside the shop and locking up, she headed towards her bike ready to go home. It was quite a chilly night “I must remember to ask for money to buy a coat”. She got home 21:20 and quietly entered the house, afraid of waking her foster mom. She thought about going to sort out the bill issue but was too tired and so trudged all the way up the stairs to bed.

The next morning Kimberly was up at 7:00 and had bathed and dressed by 7:30, she quickly prepared breakfast for her foster mom who was still sound asleep. She searched through the pile of letters on the table and having discovered that there was a recent bill that needed paying, put the letter into her bag “I guess I have to go to the bank after school.” She grabbed a piece of toast on her way out the door, with 50 mins to get to school in time for her first lesson at 9:00.

------------------6 Hours Later-------------------

“Bye Kimberly, I hope that mean foster mom of yours will let you come to my party next Saturday” Yelled Aisha as she crossed the car park towards her car. Kimberly gave a noncommittal answer while waving Aisha off. “I doubt she will” murmured Kimberly as she walked towards the bus stop. Aisha was one of the first friends Kimberly had made since winning the scholarship to attend Eton Academy. She reached into her bag to get the letter for the bill when,

“HEY, Look what you DID!!” Shouts a girl, Kimberly had bumped into Penny Worthington who was surrounded by her group of followers. Penny advanced on Kimberly menacingly while saying “You dum, Stupid cow Look what you just did to my lovely NEW blouse” Kimberly apologized saying it was an accident. Penny was about to lay into Kimberly when a Deep voice said, “Relax Penny, Give the girl a break, You.......

My Very First Phone

I had a tough time deciding on what to do my Review on; finally I decided to do it on the first Mobile Phone I ever got.

Getting your first mobile phone is like a turning point in your life, when my parents finally decided I was ready or worthy of a cell phone (even though my friends had theirs long ago....), I was thrilled and thought “about TIME”.

Well the phone was a Sony Ericsson, (mine was the black one). As you can see it basically looks like a brick. The phone is small but fairly heavy. Also irrespective of what the picture shows the phone cannot stand on its own.

It had only the bare necessities:
· Could make calls (naturally)
· Could send texts
· Had 2 dreadfully boring games (can’t remember the names)

That’s basically it, now considering that the phone only cost about £10 I guess I shouldn’t have been expecting much.

To conclude, it was a boring phone that got the job done, when I first got it I was thrilled to bits until I switched it on, I was much happier to say goodbye to it and move on to my next handset.

Overall = Not a great Buy
Rating = (2 stars out of 5) **
